The Zambian Empowerment Hub for Entrepreneurship and Skills Training (ZEHEST) says it has embarked on a project aimed at translating the Zambian constitution into major local languages.
In an exclusive interview with Komboni radio news in Lusaka, ZEHEST executive Director Clarence Muzyamba notes that there are low levels of the citizenry participating in Governance issues as a result of the constitution being published in English .
Mr Muzyamba explained that some innocent individuals have ended up being convicted by the courts of law as a result of them not understanding the provisions of the law which are written in English hence the need for the constitution to be localized
He has since called on other stakeholders to equally come on board and support the noble cause of ensuring that the constitution is localized so as not to leave anyone behind.
