Some taxi drivers operating around Hybrid area in Lusaka have beamoned the rising fuel shortages being experienced in most parts Lusaka and the country at large.
Expressing their grievances to Komboni radio news, the aggrieved motorists lamented that the shortage of the commodity has negatively impacted on their operations as they barely ferry passengers to preferred destinations.
They charged that most of their preferred passengers are on the verge of abandoning them as they cannot afford being in long ques waiting for motorists to refuel.
The motorists have since called on the Energy Regulations Board (ERB)to intervene and help address the matter.
And commenting on the matter ERB public Relations Manager Namukolo Kasumpa in a statement attributed the shortage to the congestions at the port of Beira in Mozambique and that ERB is doing everything possible to address the matter.
