Kabwe Central Member of Parliament Chrizoster Halwindi Phiri, has encouraged Constituency Development Fund (CDF) applicants to prioritize climate-resilient projects when applying for the 2025 CDF loans and grants.
Speaking in an interview with Komboni news, Ms. Halwindi recommended that CDF applicants should consider projects such as solar-powered boreholes to ensure communities have access to water.
She also suggested that smallholder farmers prioritize food security and apply for loans and grants to acquire farming equipment, especially after the droughts that affected many parts of the country.
She adds that those without cattle for farming are advised to consider purchasing tractors for ploughing to ease their farming activities during the season.
