NG’OMBE-KASISI RESIDENTS APPEAL FOR GOVT SCHOOL

Residents of Ngombe-Kasisi area have called on the government to construct a government schools in that community.

Rachael Tembo has told Komboni Radio News that the absence of a government school has proved to be very challenging as children have to walk long distances to learn in neighbouring communities.

Mrs Tembo complained that the only schools that are available in the area are privately owned and too expensive for most parents to pay for their children’s education.

Another resident Musunga Nansungwe also disclosed that the lack of government schools in the area has contributed to the increased number of school dropouts as children are not willing to move long distance to learn in neighbouring communities where they are government schools.

And the residents have since appealed to government to consider constructing a government school in the area to enable children attain the much needed education.
