GOVERNMENT URGED TO RESPECT THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE TO REMAIN IN THE ICC

BY SYLVESTER KAUMBA

A governance activist in Ndola has called on government to respect the will of the Zambian people to remain part of the International Criminal Court.

Speaking in an interview with Komboni Radio News, governance activist Chrispin Muntanga says there should be no changes to the decision made by Zambians during the consultation process when the result are taken to cabinet.

Mr Muntanga says it is very clear that the majority of Zambians want the country to remain in the ICC, hence the need for government to respect this decision.

He explained that the decision for the country to remain in the ICC is a demonstration to the rest of the world that Zambia is a democratic country.
