Residents of Buya area in Lusaka’s George compound have bemoaned the water crisis that has persisted in that community.

And the residents have called upon their civic leader to intervene in the matter and address the water crisis.

The residents have complained to a Komboni Radio News crew that visited the community that they have been experiencing erratic water supply for some time now.

Ms Beatrice Mwale complained that residents have to cover long distances in search of the commodity in nearby communities; a situation she said has proved to be costly as they have to pay for the same water.

And another resident Mary Daka says it is unfortunate that some households in the constituency have constant water supply while others have to cover long distance to fetch water for domestic use.

The residents have since appealed to the area councilor to address this disparity and ensure that all the households in the community have constant water supply.
