MAZYOPA RESIDENTS DEMAND CONSTRUCTION OF A PROPER BRIDGE

BY NAMUKALE KAPENDE
Residents of Lusaka’s Mazyopa compound have called on their civic leaders to facilitate for a construction of a stable bridge in that community.
Residents complained that the current bridge is not stable and is posing a serious threat to residents as it may collapse anytime.
They complained that nothing has been done to construct a permanent bridge despite making numerous calls to the local leadership.
The residents have since pleaded with their current area councilor to engage the area Member of Parliament and other stakeholders to ensure that a strong bridge is constructed to easy the movements of school going children who rely on the said bridge when going to school.
And efforts to get a comment from Chaisa Ward-20 councilor Ruth Phiri failed by broadcast time.
