A civic leader in Matero constituency has assured residents in his ward of enhanced security and good roads.
Mwembeshi ward 27 councilor Kelvin Kaunda says he is concerned about the porous security in the ward and assured residents that he is doing everything possible to change this scenario.
In an interview with Komboni Radio News, councilor Kaunda says he has continued to receive disturbing reports of break-ins and murder cases being recorded in Zingalume and surrounding areas.
The civic leader has also acknowledged that the state of the roads in his ward leaves much to be desired as they are becoming almost impassable for the motorists.
He has however assured members of the community that the local authority has already engaged a contractor who has already moved on site to commence the road works.
