The Zambians for Empowerment and Development Party has described the indefinite closure of Mulungushi Textiles as unfortunate and a mockery to the people of Kabwe.
ZED spokesperson Wesley Miyanda has since challenged government to explain the closure of Mulungushi Textiles barely six months after being opened.
Mr Miyanda has charged that the closure of the company has vindicated people who had labeled the opening of the company as a political move that was meant to hoodwink the people of Kabwe during the August 11 polls.
Last week, Kabwe District Commissioner announced the indefinite closure of Mulungushi Textile Company on ground that it undergoes renovations.
