The Zambia Direct Democracy Movement-Federal Party (ZDDM-FP) has joined other stakeholders calling for the withdrawal of the National Health Insurance Bill.

ZDDM-FP vice president Charles Kafumbo says the bill in its second reading stage in parliament should be withdrawn and allow people to study it and make contributions.

Mr Kafumbo has however cautioned that the bill should not be condemned in totality but that it should be given a platform for further consultations.

The National Health Insurance bill, which is meant to be mandatory for all paid up employees in public and private sectors, is currently at second reading stage in Parliament.
