The Young Women Christian Association-YWCA in Kasama has withdrawn a grade one pupil of Chibeka village, aged 11 years old from marriage.
YWCA Paralegal Officer, Nicholas Mutale who confirmed the development charged that the association will not condone early marriages in the province.
Mr Mutale has further warned parents in the habit of marrying off girls of school going age and their prospective husbands that they will be met with the long arm of the law.
And Chibeka Primary School Head teacher, Brighton Muyabala has confirmed the sad development saying that the named girl from his school, aged 11 years old was married off at the expense of school.
Republican President, Edgar Lungu is on record warning parents against marrying off their school going girl children before completing school.
