A clergywoman in Lusaka has urged women in the country to explore the bee –keeping business saying it is a viable industry which has the potential to contribute to the growth of the country’s economy.
Reverend Wamusheke Phiri says women in the country especially those in rural areas can make use of the forestry resources to venture into honey production.
Reverend Phiri told Komboni radio news in an interview that bee-keeping is also key in promoting a sustainable environment.
The clergywoman stressed that there is need for women in the country to venture in activities that will enable them become self-reliant saying this is key in poverty alleviation.
Reverend Phiri has also called for measures in the country that will contribute towards enhancing environmental sustainability.
