WOMAN ARRESTED IN KANYAMA COMPOUND FOR ALLEGEDLY RECEIVING MONEY BY FALSE PRETENSE

A woman believed to be in her mid thirties has been by Police in Kanyama compound for allegedly receiving money by false pretense.
The suspect who has been identified as Josephine Makina was picked up this morning in Mutanda Bantu area for allegedly receiving money from unsuspecting members of the public on account that she will facilitate employment for them.
And Ms Makina narrated to Lusaka District Commissioner Captain Davison Mulenga who rushed to Kanyama West Police Post that she represents a Christian Youth Scheme that facilitates Jobs and empower women in various communities.
Meanwhile, Captain Mulenga has warned of stern action against people who are taking advantage of the desperate situation of the unemployed youths by swindling them of their hard earned money.
The Lusaka DC who was accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Labour has since called for serious investigations into matter to ensure that all the culprits involved are brought to book.
