A  critical water  crisis  has  hit  Mtendere   market  and  surrounding  areas  forcing  traders  and    residents  to cover long distances in search of the commodity.

Ms Charity Daka complained that the area has been experiencing erratic water supply for over a week now.

Ms Daka says there is need for the local leadership to urgently address the water crisis as women and children are the most affected as they spend much of their time fetching water for domestic use.

And Mr John Mwanza also echoed the same sentiments stating that there is need to address the water problem to avoid the outbreak of waterborne diseases.
