Residents of Chawama Compound have expressed happiness over the end to vandalism of solar street lights along Chimwemwe road.
In an interview with Komboni radio news, Febby Sakala observed that of late vandalism of street lights in that area seem to have come to an end.
Ms. Sakala is elated that the streetlights have continued to function well from the time they were installed saying security at night has since been enhanced.
And another resident Dailes Daka who echoed similar sentiments thanked the area councilor for working on the matter swiftly.
The residents have since advised unscrupulous people who were vandalizing the solar lights to desist from destroying public property.
