The United Party for National Development (UPND) says its Members of Parliament will vote against the 2019 national budget.

UPND Vice president Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba says this is because the proposed budget has misplaced priorities.

Mr. Mwamba tells Komboni Radio News that the 2019 budget is tilted towards debt servicing other than focusing on pro-poor programs.

The UPND Vice president added that his party will not support decisions which seem to impoverish Zambians citizens.

He added that the PF government should have instead focused on increasing funding to priority areas such as agriculture which have the potential to contribute to economic development and job creation.
