Upgrading selected health facilities into first level hospitals in Lusaka will commence in October

Government says the second phase of upgrading selected health facilities into first level hospitals in Lusaka will commence in October this year.
Minister of Health Dr. Chitalu Chilufya said the facilities to be upgraded include Chawama, Kanyama and Chipata clinics.
Dr. Chilufya has told komboni radio news that the planned project will be undertaken with the help of the Japanese government.
The minister adds that the government is currently doing the bill of quantities to ascertain the total cost of the project.
Dr. Chilufya who is also Mansa central Member of Parliament has indicated that government plants to extend the projects to other parts of the country in order to improve the country’s health care system.
