UPGRADE OF MOSONDA FALLS TO BE COMPLETED IN NOVEMBER

Over 85 percent work has been done on the construction works to upgrade the Musonda hydro power station in Luapula province.
And ZESCO spokesperson Henry Kapata has told Komboni Radio news that the 45 million U.S dollar project is expected to be completed in November this year.
Mr Kapata explained that the Musonda falls which currently generates 5 megawatts of power will be producing 10 megawatts once upgraded.
He further disclosed that Luapula province will also benefit from the construction of the 1200 megawatts power plant on the Luapula River to be done by Zambia and Congo D.R. with five possible cites already identified.
