The University of Zambia students Union (UNZASU) has vowed that it will continue operating disregarding government’s suspension of union activities at the institution.

Speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka today, UNZASU Vice President Grey Ndhlovu says the student’s union shall continue to operate without interference from anyone as it is their constitutional right.

Ndhlovu has since advised the government to focus their energies on solving the current problems that students and lectures are facing.

He warned government not to add salt to the already existing problems as nothing is more important to the students than upholding peace and tranquility among students and the general public.
