UNKNOWN PEOPLE ALLEGEDLY KILL A 20 YEAR OLD WOMAN IN MPONGWE DISTRICT

Police in Mpongwe District on the Copperbelt province say they have picked up a body of a 20 year old woman at Mpongwe day primary school grounds suspected to have been murdered by unknown people.

ZANIS reports that Copperbelt Police commissioner Charity Katanga confirmed the murder in an interview and identified the deceased as Febby Zulu of Gondwe Village.

Ms Katanga disclosed that the body was discovered by pupils who were playing football at the school ground around 11hrs on Tuesday.

She said the victim was reported missing 2 weeks ago and was found with scratches on the neck, burns on the right thigh and bleeding from the nose and mouth.

The body of the deceased is lying at Mpongwe mission hospital mortuary awaiting post mortem.
