BY MONDE PHIRI
A senior citizen from Katuba constituency in Chieftainess Mungule village has called on traditional leaders in that area to desist from illegal land allocation.
Mr. White Chitalu has told komboni radio news in a walk-in interview that some village headmen have sold out land meant for recreational facilities.
Mr. Chitalu alleged that some pieces of land that were reserved as football pitches have since been demarcated as residential plots.
He notes that the trend has affected talent identification and development among the youths and has since called on the traditional leaders to stop selling land meant for the community.
Mr. Chitalu has also implored traditional leaders to ensure that they begin to defend the interest of the community by not giving away all the land to private owners.
