A Lusaka based traditional councilor Edwin Zulu has expressed sadness over the escalating number of divorce cases in the country
Speaking to Komboni radio news in an interview Mr Zulu has attributed divorce cases being recorded to failure by young couples to embrace traditional teachings in their marriage.
He has noted with regret that most young couples fail to resolve marital disputes and end up divorcing due to failure to embrace traditional values and heed the advice from marriage councilors.
Mr Zulu has since advised young couples to regularly visit marriage councilors if they have to have a successful marriage.
Zambia has recorded over 4000 divorce cases in the first quarter of 2018.
