TRADERS CASTIGATED FOR SHUNNING MONTHLY CLEANING EXERCISE

Some traders in the Central Business District of Lusaka have castigated their fellow traders who are shunning the monthly cleaning exercise as directed by republican president Edgar Lungu.
A trader at COMESA market identified as Amake Helen says it is unfortunate that some people are not willing to take part in the monthly cleaning exercise.
She disclosed that traders have resorted to opening their trading stalls in the market after 10 hours on the last weekend of the month to avoid being part of the cleaning exercise.
And Mr Peter Kang’ombe has called on residents to embrace the cleaning exercise that was launched by the head of state saying the exercise should also be extended to institutions such as schools and churches.
