THREE HOUSES IN SIAVONGA COLLAPSE DUE TO HEAVY RAINS

Three houses have collapsed in Siavonga district of Southern Province following heavy rains.
Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama who confirmed the destruction of the houses to Komboni radio however says that no serious injuries have been reported.
And Mr Kanyama says the Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit- DMMU are expected to access the situation on the said houses to see how best the affected families can be assisted.
Meanwhile, Mr Kanyama has also disclosed that most of the feeder roads in the district have been badly damaged by heavy rains experienced in the past three days.
The Siavonga DC has since appealed to motorists using the affected roads to remain calm while alternative measures are being put in place.
