Kapwepwe ward 25 Councilor Patrick Salubusa who confirmed the development to Komboni Radio news says the Lilanda police post which has been constructed using funds from the constituency development fund will be commissioned on 1st March, 2017.
And the civic leader has also expressed concern over the escalating crime levels in his ward.
Mr Salubusa has since assured residents in his ward that he has since engaged the Zambia police to intensify security patrols in the area.
The Kapwepwe ward 25 councilor has also appealed to the business community in the area to come forward and assist in organizing furniture and other logistics so that the Lilanda police post can be ready for commissioning by the set date.
