TEN MILES RESIDENTS APPEAL FOR SPEED HUMPS ALONG MUNGULE ROAD

BY NAMUKALE KAPENDE

Residents of Ten miles area in Chibombo district have appealed to the local authority to erect speed humps along the newly constructed Mungule road.

In an interview with Komboni Radio News, a resident only identified as bana Ngosa says there is urgent need to erect speed humps in order to prevent accidents as some overzealous drivers have taken advantage of the smoothness of the road and are over speeding without regard for other road users.

She has noted with concern that school going children are the ones who are at high risk of being hit by over speeding motorists when crossing the busy road.

The residents have since pleaded with the relevant authorities to quickly erect speed humps on the said road in order to prevent loss of lives.
