SLAZ URGES LIVESTOCK TRADERS TO ADHERE TO HIGH STANDARDS OF HYGIENE

Small Livestock Association of Zambia has called on the traders in small animals to adhere to high standards of hygiene in view of the Cholera outbreak.

SLAZ Vice Chairman Trust Chasha says all meat products which are sold at the trade centre at Kabesha market should be well handled to the final consumers to avoid the risk of contracting the bacteria.

Meanwhile, Mr Chasha has disclosed that the committee has since intensified the cleaning exercise around the trade centre adding that they are doing everything possible to avoid the outbreak of Cholera at the Livestock Market.

Traders have continued to sale fresh meat products on the streets despite the outbreak of Cholera that has been recorded in some parts of the city.
