Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama has warned that he will not tolerate civil servants reporting for work drunk.

Mr Kanyama disclosed that he has been receiving calls from members of the public that some civil servants especially those in rural areas are in the habit of working under the influence of alcohol.

Mr Kanyama has since warned that officers who will be found wanting be disciplined or asked to leave Siavonga District.

The DC has also appealed to members of the public to help identify government workers who report for work drunk and also appealed to heads of departments to be on the lookout for such individuals.
