SIAVONGA DC URGES CONTRACTOR TO SPEED UP WORKS ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF POLICE HOUSES

BY SYLVESTER KAUMBA

Siavonga District Commissioner Lovemore Kanyama has urged the contractor engaged by government to construct the 10 housing units for police officers to speed up the works.

Mr Kanyama says there is need for the contractor to speed up the works so that police officers who are currently squatting in shanty compounds can have decent accommodation.

And Mr Kanyama notes that the construction of 30 additional housing units will help to address the accommodation crisis for Civil servants in Siavonga district.

He says once completed, the new housing units will motivate police officers and civil servants to work hard.

The construction of 10 housing units in Siavonga district which commenced last year in November is expected to be completed in December this year.
