BY MONDE PHIRI

Some concerned residents in Lusaka have expressed concern over the poor management of waste in Kamwala trading area which has led to accumulation of litter.

The residents have since called on shop owners, most of them Indian nationals to come up with an effective system of waste management.

One of the shop keepers only identified as Shi Mpundu Brusho has charged that some shop owners have a tendency indiscriminately disposing off waste at night.

Shi Mpundu added that there is need for the shop owners to partner with the Lusaka City Council (LCC) and devise means that will curb the indiscriminate disposal of waste.
