Zambia Compulsory Standards Agency (ZCSA) has urged service providers to provide quality and safe products to consumers during the Labour Day commemoration.
Speaking on the eve of the Labour Day commemoration whose theme is ‘‘Building Partnerships for Sustainable National Development through Decent Job Creation and Social Justice’’, ZCSA Spokesperson Lee Hamunji said there is need for companies in Zambia to provide consumers with quality and safe products.
Mr Hamunji has urged companies to take advantage of the Labour Day and ensure that they provide consumers with quality and safe products.
Mr Hamunji stressed that the provision of quality and safe products should not just be done during Labour Day commemoration but this should be an ongoing process by all service providers in the country.
He further stated that ZCSA has been engaging various companies on issues of quality and safety.
And Mr Hamunji has reiterated his call on consumers to demand for quality from service providers so that they are reminded that consumers are bosses if their products are to sell.
