RTSRTSA PARTIALLY LIFTS THE SUSPENSION OF JULDAN MOTORS ROAD SERVICE LICENSE

The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) has partially lifted the suspension of the road service license for Juldan motors bus services.

RTSA Public Relations Manager Mukela Mangolwa says this follows a report on the inspection that was conducted by the agency on the operator’s fleet and retests of its drivers.

Mr. Mangolwa disclosed in a statement that the partial lifting of the suspension follows Juldan motors commitment to fully implement the fleet safety management policy.

He explained that under the partial reinstatement of the road service license involves only 46 buses that have so far passed the roadworthiness inspections.

Mr. Mangolwa also stated that 62 drivers have also passed the driving tests adding that the operator has since been directed to allow the agency to carry out random and monthly inspections to monitor compliance with the fleet safety management policy.

He added that the operator should also ensure that any additions to its fleet should be approved by RTSA stating that failure by Juldan Motors to comply with the set conditions will result in revocation of the operating License.

RTSA had suspended the road service license after the operator recorded 3 road traffic accidents within a month.
