A civic leader in Kalingalinga compound has disclosed that the local authority will work on all roads in the community as the rain season comes to an end under a program which will also see the improvement of drainages in that area.
Kalingalinga ward councilor Kasongo Chomba has disclosed to Komboni Radio News in an interview that the Bill of Quantity has already been done by the council.
Councilor Chomba says the contractor is expected to move on site by April and works will start with the road that passes through Chiparamba market.
He also disclosed that 50 casual workers from the community have since been engaged by the contractor in readiness for the road rehabilitation project.
And the civic leader has assured residents in his ward that the local authority is doing everything possible to find a permanent solution to the floods that characterize Kalingalinga and Mass media area whenever there is a heavy down pour.
