RESIDENTS URGED TO EMBRACE THE KEEP ZAMBIA CLEAN CAMPAIGN

By Namukale Kapende

Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula ward councilor Luckson Sakala has called upon residents and traders in his ward to take it upon themselves in cleaning and maintaining their surroundings clean.

In an interview with Komboni Radio News, Mr Sakala says it is also the responsibility of residents to keep the environment clean and not just local authorities.

Mr. Sakala stressed that the cholera outbreak that was recorded in some parts of the country was a result of the failure by residents to keep their surroundings clean.

He has since urged residents to heed President Lungu’s call to promote and maintain a clean, healthy, safe living and working environment.

On Saturday, President Edgar Lungu re-launched the make Zambia clean, green and health campaign with the call to citizens and the initiative.
