Residents of Lusaka’s Hellen Kaunda Township are demanding for the erection of speed humps on the newly constructed road that demarcates Hellen Kaunda and Kalingalinga compound.

In an interview with Komboni Radio News today, residents complained that a number of road accidents have been recorded on the said road hence the need for the authorities to erect speed humps.
Mr Joseph Zulu charged that school going children are the most affected as they risk being run-over by over speeding motorists who have taken advantage of the smoothness of the road.
Another resident Andrew Phiri says in as much as residents appreciate the tarring of the road, there is need to erect speed humps and other road signs in order to protect the lives of pedestrians and other road users.
