RESIDENTS DEMAND THE COMPLETION OF THE MISIS-KUKU ROAD BEFORE THE ONSET OF THE RAINS

A concerned resident of Lusaka’s Misisi compound Charles Kafumbo has appealed to government to ensure that the contractor working on the Misisi-Kuku road completes the works before the onset of the rains.

Mr Kafumbo who is also Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) President has also called for the construction of a drainage system in the community.

Mr. Kafumbo tells Komboni radio news that failure to have proper drainages will result in floods that have continued to characterize the community every rain reason.

Meanwhile, Mr. Kafumbo has challenged Nkoloma Ward 1 Councilor Tasila Lungu to begin holding public meetings with residents where developmental issues will be discussed.

Mr Kafumbo has observed that having public meetings will allow the councilor to know which developmental projects are urgent to implement as discussed with the community.
