RESIDENTS CONDEMN CONSTRUCTION OF A CHURCH ON A ROAD RESERVE

Residents of John Laing compound have expressed anger over the construction of a church on the Chanda Castle road.

The residents have charged that they have on several occasions tried to advice the named man behind the illegal construction of a worship centre on the road reserve but to no avail.

The situation has forced residents in that community to report the matter to the District Commissioner’s office who has assured them that action will be taken to the road reserve.

Meanwhile, Lusaka District Commissioner Captain Davison Mulenga has warned of stern action against those who have continued to illegally allocate pieces of land in the city without the approval of the local authority.
