Some Lusaka residents have expressed concern at the seemingly common trend of people having inaccurate information on their National Registration Cards (NRCs).
The residents have observed that most residents have wrong details on their national identity cards citing the date of birth as some of the details that are altered.
One of the residents Elita Zulu said most people have reduced their age on the NRC’S.
Ms. Zulu added that this has caused many people to remain in employment even after reaching their retirement age a situation that prevents the young ones from getting jobs.
The residents have since urged the Ministry of Home Affairs to ensure that thorough screening is done for people acquiring NRCs.
