National Restoration Party (NRP) Secretary General Kafula Mubanga has urged President Edgar Lungu and opposition UNPD leader Hakainde Hichilema to emulate Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga who have reconciled following last year’s bitterly contested elections.
In an interview with Komboni Radio News, Dr Mubanga says there is need for the two leaders to bury their differences for the betterment of the country.
Dr Mubanga stressed that the reconciliation between President Lungu and Mr Hichilema is very important as this is the only way the country can develop.
Meanwhile, Dr Mubanga has charged that there is nothing wrong with his party supporting some of the policies of the ruling PF government.
Dr Mubanga says the NRP is still a viable opposition party and will continue to criticize government on policies that are not beneficial to the country as well as commending them on good policies that will develop the nation.
