POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR A BURUNDESE MAN INCONNECTION WITH THE MURDER OF A 33 YEAR OLD MAN OF CHIBOLYA COMPOUND


Police in Lusaka have launched a manhunt for a Burundese of Chibolya compound in connection with the murder of Philip Nyama aged 33 which happened yesterday around 2200 in Chibolya compound.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo who disclosed the development to Komboni Radio News has identified the suspect as John Kajengemana, aged between 25 and 30 years.
Mrs Katongo explained that the accused is alleged to have stabbed the victim on the left side of the neck using a sharp knife and the victim sustained a deep cut and later died after severe bleeding.

She says brief facts are that the suspect who operates as a butcher man at an abattoir in Chibolya had given some carcass and a knife to Philip Nyama, the victim to keep for him but around 2200 hours when he went to collect the carcass, a quarrel ensued.
Mrs Katongo says it is at that point that the suspect is reported to have stabbed the victim using a knife and he ran away.
