POLICE IN ZIMBABWE FIRE WATER CANNONS AND TEAR GAS AT OPPOSITION SUPPORTERS

Police in Zimbabwe’s Capital Harare have fire water cannons and tear gas at stone throwing opposition supporters alleging fraud in Monday’s elections.
Soldiers are reported to have fired live ammunition.
The protest came after the electoral Commission in Zimbabwe said then governing Zanu-PF party had attained a two-thirds majority in Parliament allowing the government to change the constitution.
The opposition MDC’s Party Secretary General told the BBC that the ruling party had used intimidation tactics to win votes in the country.
And in other African News, the former Vice President of the Democratic Republic of Congo Jean Pierre Bemba has arrived in the capital Kinshasa.
He was mobbed by tons of thousands supporters many of them in T-shirts or hats bearing Bemba’s face.
