Police in Lusaka have launched a manhunt for six criminals among them a maid in connection with Aggravated Robbery which occurred on 23rd September, 2019 at about 12 00 hours in Emmasdale area.

Police spokesperson Esther Katongo disclosed to Komboni Radio News that the criminals who are reported to have been using an unknown motor vehicle, red in color broke in to the residence of Harris Shah aged 28, a Pakistan national with the help of a maid working at the same residence.

It is alleged that shortly after Mr Shah left home at about 12 00 hours, the maid told Mr Shah’s wife that she was going to the convenience room and immediately after she left, five men entered the premises and went straight to the laundry room where the other maid was found washing clothes.

Mrs. Katongo says the suspects squeezed the other by the neck and warned her not to scream and later went to the kitchen where they found Mrs. Shah whom they grabbed by the hand and demanded for money.

Mrs. Katongo says the criminals went away with K2,000 cash, 15000 USD cash, Jewelry worth 7000 USD and four passports.

She further disclosed that few minutes later, the other maid who had gone to the convenience room rushed into the house, got her hand bag and ran away.
