POLICE IN LUSAKA LAUNCH MAN HUNT FOR GIRL FRIEND MURDERER

Police in Lusaka have launched a man hunt for a man believed to be in his early 20’s who is on the run after he allegedly stabbed to death his girlfriend and her 1 year 8 months old baby after a dispute.
Police spokesperson Esther katongo has told komboni radio news that incident happened on Sunday night in Kaunda square stage 1 when the suspect identified as Raphael Mumba stabbed the victims several times with a sharp object.
Mrs. Katongo has identified the victims as Stella Moonga aged 22 and her 1 year 8 months son as Mark Mumba.
The deceased victims are reported to have sustained deep cuts.
Mrs. Katongo said the bodies of the deceased are lying in the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) awaiting postmortem.
And in a related development, Prominent Lusaka businessman Reeves Malambo aged 48 has been murdered by his girlfriend after a dispute.
Police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo who confirmed the development to Komboni radio news disclosed that the incident happened last night in Ibex Hill residential area.
Mrs. Katongo explained that Malambo was then rushed to hilltop hospital by his girlfriend where he died due to heavy bleeding in the early hours of today.
The body of the deceased is lying in the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) Mortuary awaiting postmortem while the accused person who has been identified Shabu Benos is detained in police custody.
