PARADISE YOUTHS WELCOME PLANS TO TURN THE COMMUNITY HALL INTO A SKILLS TRAINING CENTRE

BY OSCAR NKHUWA
Youths in Paradise compound in Matero Constituency have welcomed plans to turn one of the community halls in the area into a training centre as this will help youths acquire skills such as tailoring and carpentry.
Robert Chilufya has noted with sadness that a number of youths in the area are patronizing bars and engaging in bad vises due to lack of skills training centres and lack of employment.
And Chilufya has also appealed to civic leaders in the area to consider working on the dilapidated road leading to paradise market for easy access to the trading centre.
Another youth, Misheck Manda has also called for the promotion of sporting activities to allow young people identify and nurture their talents.
Recently, Kapwepwe ward 25 councilor Patrick Salubusa said he is looking at measures of engaging community members in paradise compound so that a youth training centre can be constructed in the area.
