The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) in Southern Province has challenged opposition political parties claiming that there is too much corruption in the PF government to give evidence of their claims.
PF Southern Province Information and Publicity Secretary Trymore Mweenda says it is unfair for the opposition to continue saying that president Edgar Lungu is harboring corrupt ministers in his government and yet they are failing to prove their claim.
Mr Mweenda stressed that opposition political parties who are in the habit of frequenting media houses to issue what he termed as irresponsible statements should stop or provide evidence of their claims to the relevant investigation wings.
He has charged that baseless accusation of corruption should not be tolerated as it has the potential to derail the attention of Zambians from engaging in productive issues.
Mr Mweenda reiterated that the party in Southern Province will continue to support and defend President Lungu from baseless attacks from the opposition.
