A 36 year old man of Wulongo Village in Nakonde District of Muchinga Province has died in a head on collision in Nakonde District in Northern Province.
ZANIS reports that Nakonde District Commissioner Field Simwinga who confirmed the incident in an interview today said the accident occurred yesterday around 13hours involving a Toyota Spacio Registration number AIB 3149 driven by Peter Sichinga hit into an coming Volvo truck registration number ADD 8118 near comfort area.
He said Sichinga died on the spot but the driver of the truck escaped unhurt with his truck having minor damages.
Meanwhile, the DC has also cautioned motorists in the District to be careful when driving along the curve near comfort area were the accident occurred as it has been marked a black spot which has claimed many lives.
