Residents of Ngwerere in Katuba constituency have appealed to the local authority to connect piped water to the community.
The residents complained that they have continued to face challenges to access safe and clean drinking water due to lack of piped water in the community.
The residents lament that they are forced to walk long distances in search of water for domestic use.
The residents further complained that the situation has become expensive as they are now being charged to fetch water from their colleagues who have sunk boreholes.
They have since appealed to the local leadership in Katuba constituency to address the water challenges being faced in Ngwerere area.
