Mtendere ward 30 councillor Watson Mtonga has urged marketers in his ward to shield their businesses by having them insured.
Speaking to Komboni radio news in an interview, Mr Mtonga has emphasized the need for business owners to insure their businesses in case of a fire or theft.
The civic leader said that this will help business owners in case of any calamity to their business as they will have a starting point.
He has also urged insurance companies to ensure that they educate people more on the importance of insurance in order to safe guard their businesses.
