Residents of Lusaka’s Mahopo compound have repeated calls on their area Member of Parliament to facilitate the installation of piped water in that area.
The residents have complained that the lack of piped water in the community has continued to be a major challenge as they are forced to cover long distances in search of the commodity.
They lament that despite making numerous appeals to their civic leaders, nothing has been done to address the matter.
The residents have also noted with concern that failure to address the water challenges being faced in Mahopo compound will result in the outbreak of Cholera and other water borne diseases.
