Lusaka residents have expressed serious concerns on the continued instant mob justice on people suspected to be thieves.
Joe Mbewe one of the concerned resident has observed that the country has sufficient laws to deal with suspected criminals and called on the public to desist from taking the law in their own hands.
Mr. Mbewe was reacting to recent reports of a man of Misisi Compound who was allegedly beaten to death on suspicions that he was a thief.
Another resident only identified as Jason urged the residents to avoid moving at night and also adhere to the security measures being undertaken by law enforcement agencies.
Recently a body of a man was retrieved from the notorious Katuvi dam in Misisi compound.
The residents had alleged that the victim was killed by a mob that suspected him to be a thief
